Erika Laurentz is an emergency department psychiatric counselor; Bennett Pendleton is a registered nurse. They share their experiences with family tension, social discrimination, and awkward healthcare encounters. Erika and Bennett also explore how to make healthcare more compassionate and respectful for one of society’s most vulnerable populations.
