Dan Hudson, a Chaplin for Providence St. Johns in Santa Monica, California spoke with his colleague Pema Choden, the director of the laboratory at St. John's. Pema reveals her family's connection to the Dalai Lama. She also shared the story of her parents escape from Tibet in 1959 and settled in India. Pema's oldest sister was given an opportunity to come to the U.S. on a scholarship and eventually the rest of the family followed.
