Caroline was 15 when Hitler visited Vienna. What had been a very normal life, was suddenly chaotic and her family lost everything when the Nazis overran Europe. Because she could read and write Hebrew, she was one of the few who were able to flee to Palestine. But her family had to stay behind. It was the last time she saw her loved ones.
