Rising from adversity

Sarah Hader shares her life story with Roxie Nammour about growing up in a rural setting with minimal education, she took on responsibilities early. Leaving home at 17, she worked various jobs, earned her GED, and joined a concrete finishing apprenticeship. Becoming a mother and surviving personal hardships, Sarah pursued higher education, earning a degree in nutrition from WSU and completing graduate studies during the COVID-19 pandemic.
