Surviving in silence
- Featuring: Oscar Szmuch & Annette Weinberg
- Date Submitted: Sep 27, 2022
- Location: California
Oscar was born in 1943 while his family was on the run from the Nazis. His family fled their home country of Poland to relocation camps in Siberia. Not feeling safe in Russia, they made their way to South America and eventually landed in Argentina, where Oscar spent most of his childhood. As they fled one place to another, the family had to move in silence to avoid being detected by the Nazis. Edit Credit: Alison Jacques
